Tracey has responded to the decision to temporarily divert ambulance to alternative hospitals than the Medway Maritime Hospital. She has issued the following statement on the current situation regarding the Medway Maritime Hospital;

“It is disappointing that the ongoing issues at the hospital means that temporary closure of some A&E services have been introduced this week but at least assurances have been made about which alternatives will be used.  I hope that issues at the hospital are resolved as soon as possible, not just for those needing the hospital but for all the hardworking staff at the hospital who are doing their best to turn the tide under immense public scrutiny”
