Tracey Supports Medway’s Sport Family Funday Sundays

During this 2016 Olympic Games fortnight, Tracey is delighted to see the spirit of the games spreading all the way from Rio to Medway. 

Medway Council are hosting a number of Family Funday Sundays, an opportunity for the whole family to come and enjoy taking part in a variety of sports. 

All details of the family sports days, the venues, costs and the showcase of sport on offer can be found online here.

With sports centres across Medway taking it in turn to host an Olympic-themed Family Funday Sunday from 10am-1pm. 

Every participant will receive a souvenir medal and the activities on offer will include at least one Olympic sport.

Olympic track races, badminton, short tennis, table tennis

21 Aug  Strood Sports Centre

Football, basketball, archery tag, summer picnic, bungee run

28 Aug Splashes

Pool party with swimming races and games as well as a mega slide and a summer picnic

Regular free Family Funday Sundays take place 10am-1pm on the following dates:

  • Medway Park: 4 September, 2 October, 6 November 
  • Strood Sports Centre: 18 September, 16 October, 20 November

    They are suitable for families with children aged six to 11 and there’s no need to book or register in advance. 

All equipment is provided and the coaches are able to offer all levels of guidance and supervision, from getting a game going to running small drills and activities.
