Tracey Supports FA Skills in Chatham

Tracey spent time at Luton Road Junior School on Thursday 19th March and supported students take part in an FA Skills session. Tracey, who herself is an FA qualified coach, saw year five students practise their football skills under the expert guidance of FA Skills coach Ian Varley.

FA Skills, which sees FA coaches running football sessions for 5 to 11 year olds, has been running since 2007 and in that time has delivered more than six million skills places to children across England.

The scheme is funded by The FA and Sport England and employs 158 full-time coaches, including four in Kent, to help children of all abilities get active, learn new skills, build self-confidence and enjoy football. Coaching sessions are delivered both in primary schools alongside teachers and outside of school at FA Skills centres.

The programme is free to primary schools and has been delivered in more than 7,500 schools, supporting more than 21,500 teachers.
