On Saturday 10th October, Tracey had the pleasure in officially opening the Internet Café at the Cedar Rooms of the Ditton Community Centre. The café has already trained 30 people of all ages to be able to use the computer at different skill levels. They also ran training sessions on the opening day, where they showed everyone how they will be able to help in the future.
The centre has a fully fitted kitchen, pool tables, game consuls, a seating area and the fully equipped IT suite.
Tracey said: “After all the hard work of so many people it was an honour to formally open Ditton’s Internet Cafe over the weekend. The Internet Café will not only be a great place for people to learn and benefit from the IT facilities but it will also provide extra activities for the wider community.”
The Youth Club and Internet Café are run by volunteers and would welcome anyone who can help them continue to grow. (Contact Floyd Risby on 07947598502 for more details.)
