Tracey Encourages Local Projects and Groups to Enter the New People’s Millions TV Programme

Tracey is calling on all local community projects and groups to get involved in the launch of new People’s Millions TV programme, an exciting partnership between the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) and ITV in which the public get a chance to vote for the community projects they want to receive their good cause funding.

This is a great opportunity for 76 projects to receive up to £50,000 to inspire, involve and improve their local community. Through ITV coverage they want to encourage local charities and community groups to apply for BIG grants and raise awareness of National Lottery funding. Each night for a week in November, those who make the best applications will battle it out on prime time ITV regional news for the public vote. Whether or not they succeed, the competition represents a great opportunity to mobilise support and publicity behind a local cause.

Tracey wants to encourage all local groups to fill out the simple entry form online at www.peoplesmillions.org.uk or contact the Big Advice Line on 0845 0 10 11 12. The deadline for applications is 13 May 2013. To date approximately half of all groups entering the competition have not been funded by BIG before.

Tracey said “So often I see great projects with little funding, I know a little more funding can go a long way, so please utilise this great opportunity provided once again by the Big Lottery Fund which has already helped so many.”
