Tracey Encourages Local Charities to Make Use of Morrisons Foundation

The Morrisons Foundation was established last year to support local charities which improve people’s lives in the communities Morrisons serves.

constituents may be aware of thr work of the Foundation through the community work the Walderslade and Larksfield stores do.

The Morrisons Foundation recieved all of its funding from Wm Morrison Supermarket PLC, primarily from the proceeds of the single use carrier bag charge. In its first year the Foundation donated £2.4million to hundreds of charities across England, Scotland and Wales.

The Morrisons Foundation is very keen to support charities within Chatham & Aylesford and Tracey is therefore encouraging suitable charities that would be interested in applying for funding to so. Full details about how to apply can be found at https://www.morrisonsfoundation.com/

Tracey said: “I am delighted that Morrison’s are committed to their community engagement through their foundation scheme. This is a fantastic chance to help give local charities that extra support and I am therefore encouraging local charities who could benefit from this scheme to register their interests via the website.”
