Tracey Encourages Local Charities to Make Applications for Sainsbury’s Charity Support Scheme

Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme is back and the Larkfield store in Aylesford is looking for a new charity to support from the local & surrounding area.

Over the next couple of months, Sainsbury’s stores will make a shortlist of charities for customers to vote for. The winning charity will then receive a year of support from the store, which includes fundraising and awareness. Customers can vote between 13th – 26th June in stores and online.

The Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme has raised over £9million over the last seven years and has helped thousands of charities across the UK.

Steve Surridge, Store Manager of Sainsbury’s Larkfield said:

“There are so many fantastic charities in the local area who do brilliant work in our community. We’d love to hear from charities we haven’t supported before.”

Tracey said:

“I am delighted that Sainsbury’s are committed to their community engagement within the Aylesford area through their charity support scheme. This is a fantastic chance to help give local charities that extra support and I am therefore encouraging local charities who could benefit from this scheme to register their interests via the details below.”

If you would like to apply, please register your interest at the customer service desk or kiosk at your local branch, Sainsbury’s Larkfield, Mills Road, Quarry Wood, Aylesford ME20 7NA  to be considered. The nominations close on 9th May. Please note all charities must be registered to the UK Charity Commission.
