The Future Of The BBC’s Chatham Studio

When the current Director General of the BBC, Tony Hall, came in front of the Culture, Media & Sport Select Committee rumours were rife that the Chatham studio was due to close as part of the efficiency savings required under Delivering Quality First. I took the opportunity of asking him about the studio’s future, given its strategic importance to producing good radio and television content from North Kent. I have today received his reply.

Help Georgina Fund a Community Defibrillator

My staff often go above and beyond the call of duty; they stay late, work weekends and sometimes do personal chores for me without a grumble. But Georgina, who works in my Chatham office, is doing something incredible in support of my campaign to get defibrillators into as many schools and community centres as possible – she is running the London Marathon to raise funds for the next defib!

Tracey Opens Refurbished Larkfield Post Office

On Friday 1 November Tracey officially opened the Larkfield Post Office, which has just undergone a major refurbishment. To celebrate the launch of the new style branch Tracey cut the ribbon at the Post Office in McColls Retail Group Ltd, 24 – 28 Martin Square, Aylesford, ME20 6QJ.
