Local Schools Come to Westminster

Today several local Schools came to visit the Houses of Parliament. They took part in an educational visit and a question and answer session with Tracey.

The Big Lottery Fund has launched a new investment fund called Improving Financial Confidence. Improving Financial Confidence is a strategic investment fund aimed at helping people become more confident and more aware of how to take control over their finances.

Abbeyfield Week 2011 – Generational Skills Swap

Tracey this week lent her support to Abbeyfield Week 2011 by taking part in a generational skills swap in Parliament. Tracey Crouch was joined by the actor and Abbeyfield patron Geoffrey Palmer in Parliament to raise awareness of this innovative scheme, which brings together older and younger people to encourage them to swap invaluable skills.

Carers Week 2011 Is Fast Approaching

As Carers Week (13-19 June) draws closer, Tracey has teamed up with TV presenter Angela Rippon to show support and recognise for the contribution made by those people in Chatham and Aylesford, and throughout the UK who provide unpaid care for someone who is ill, frail or disabled.

Chatham & Aylesford Band Rock the House

Last week, Chatham and Aylesford band ‘The Flowing’ attended a celebratory event, at a select club off Regent Street, to mark their nomination to the final of the Rock the House Competition.

Ministerial Visit to Bradfields School

Tracey, an already acknowledged supporter of Bradfields School and Tim Loughton, (MP for East Worthing & Shoreham, and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children & Young Families) visited Bradfields School in Chatham last Thursday.

Royal British Legion Industries Social Firms UK Membership

Last week Tracey presented a certificate to the Royal British Legion Industries to celebrate their recognition as a new member of Social Firms UK. Tracey presented the certificate to Edwin Boorman, chairman of the RBLI and said in a short speech that this: “is an exciting new dawn for the RBLI and a great example of positive recognition within the big society”.

Tracey Crouch visits Olympic Park

Yesterday, Tracey, accompanied by fellow MPs, visited the new Olympic Park in Stratford. Tracey and her colleagues were given a tour of the park that will be used to house the London 2012 Olympic Games. The site is still under construction but MPs witnessed how it is starting to take shape.
