Tracey has welcomed the news that the number of pupils persistently skipping school have fallen by 36 per cent in Kent and 13.7 per cent in Medway since 2010.

Tracey Raisies Awareness of Diabetes and its Complications

Tracey joined volunteers from the International Diabetes Federation and staff from Novo Nordisk and Roche, leaders in diabetes care, to raise awareness of the increasing prevalence of diabetes in the UK on Tuesday 25th March.

Mesothelioma Regulations Approved

Yesterday, Parliament debated and approved the draft Diffuse Mesothelioma Payments Scheme 2014 which sets out the details and regulations of the compensation scheme to be introduced under the Mesothlioma Act 2014.

Update on Southeastern

The Minister provided some positive news and a comprehensive update.

Government Reconsiders Meso Compensation

After tabling an amendment to the Mesothelioma Bill earlier this year calling for compensation levels to be raised from 75% of average civil costs to 80% Tracey is pleased, that despite being defeated at the time, the Government have today announced that compensation will indeed be 80%. This means victims of this fatal disease who are unable to trace their insurer or employer or both will be able to receive an extra £8K in compensation.
