Tracey Commits to Help Children who Need Palliative Care in Chatham & Aylesford

Tracey has given her support for children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions in Chatham & Aylesford at a Westminster event held by children’s palliative care charity Together for Short Lives. The event took place on Tuesday 17 June during Children’s Hospice Week (13-20), the national awareness and fundraising week for children not expected to reach adulthood and the services, like children’s hospices, that support them.

Local Dementia Champion Receives Honour From The Queen

Tracey said “I am thrilled to annouce that Major Maurice Bernard has received an honour in the Queen’s 2014 Birthday Honours. Maurice received a British Empire Medal for all of his hard work that has lead so directly to the improvements seen in dementia services in Medway. Congratulations Maurice!! We are all very proud! You deserve it!”

Tracey Celebrates the Launch of Latest Dementia APPG Report

As Vice-Chair of the group, Tracey was delighted to celebrate the launch of the 2014 report of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Dementia. The report, titled Building on the National Dementia Strategy: Change, progress and priorities, looks back at a previous inquiry from 2010 and examines progress made and opportunities for the future.

Tracey Celebrates National Care Home Open Day

Today thousands of UK care homes opened their doors to welcome the public, connect residents with their local communities, and change perceptions of care homes for good. Tracey visited Amherst Court in Chatham to meet with residents and even had a go at knitting.

Tracey Signs Pledge to Help Reduce Drownings

Tracey signed up to support the UK’s drowning prevention charity in its work to reduce drowning and provide water safety education and lifesaving awards across the UK and Ireland.

Bradfields Academy Awarded the Family Friendly UK Accreditation

Tracey is really pleased to announce that yesterday evening, after an intense period of development, the Family Friendly Accreditation was launched at 11 Downing Street. There has been a lot of hard work to ensure that the Accreditation is a robust and useful process for all members of the Family Childcare Trust, and it has been tested with a mix of different organisations that is representative of their membership base.  She would like to also wish a huge congratulations to Bradfields Academy in Chatham, Gatwick Airport and Trafford Family Information Service, who were the first organisations to be awarded the Family Friendly UK Accreditation last night.
