I have often been contacted by charities and organisations that wish to expand their work through greater financial support. There is a vast amount of money readily available through grants from both public and private organisations, however, they are often hard to locate. I therefore created a list of of both national and regional grants that charities and organisations can apply for. These grants are to support small, medium and large projects of all types, whether that be for a community allotment or a new dance class for over 60’s, there is quite likely to be some money out there to help.
As well as established grants there are many companies locally that support projects either through the donation of materials or offering their facilities free of charge. I have seen for myself the generosity of our local business men and women and would encourage individuals to contact them for advice with their projects.
National Grants
A good place to start when searching for a grant is either Funding Central or Charities Aid Foundation, they have information on thousands of grants which can be filtered to your project’s particular needs.
